Sivan Rotem was born in Buenos Aires, raised up in Kibbutz Afikim

and lives in The Heffer Valley, Israel.

She started her artistic training playing the violin and was the firstviolinist of the Kibbutz Youth orchestra. Sivan holds BA degrees in English and Literature from Haifa University and in Music from the Rubin Academy at Tel Aviv University.  For the past 25 years she has sung on the best opera and concert stages in five continents and has collaborated with renowned conductors such as Zubin Mehta and many more.

Sivan started painting in 2008. She studied with Ruth Norman and Doron Dahan. Her oil paintings are in a realistic- impressionistic style. The landscapes she paints are inspired by her musical travels in Israel and around the world. Sivan's works are colorful, vivid and rich in style.

The artist succeeds in transmitting the reality in an honest way and transforms the observer to naturally be a part of the painting's subject. Her vivid, communicative and radiant personality is reflected in her paintings and in the various techniques she uses.
