I am an Israeli painter born in 1953. For many years family and career
as a psychotherapist have been central to my core being. However,
art in its various modalities has also been my passion since early
childhood and I am now actively enjoying it through my paintings.
As a painter I am an autodidact and as such I see my artistic
development on a continuum of experiential observation, ongoing
studying with Israeli and International artists, self work and different
workshops to enrich my technique and unique language.
For the last few years I have been studying with Antonio Matorosa, a
known Brazilian/Italian artist residing in northern Israel.
I immensely enjoy abstracts but, nature painting with the uniqueness
of the Israeli lights and climate is also my favorite.
Painting, like music, requires balance and harmony. It also requires
a personal and an emotional statement. That is my goal: to experience
and to be able to transfer it on the canvas.
Painting is my playground area. Oil colors, brushes, palette knives and
canvasare my tools for a total process of beginning without a clear prior
knowledge of where it will take me. As the painting reveals itself from
within it is all me and mine.
