ARTIST STATEMENT

“As a woman navigating both the contemporary art world and the continue search of identity and expression, my practice is rooted in a deep commitment to abstraction as a language of autonomy and intuition. My paintings reflect my ongoing exploration of balance- Through geometric forms and layered color fields, I seek to dismantle boundaries and reimagine spatial relationships in ways that feel both harmonious and disruptive.

My compositions invite reflection on the power of collaboration, the beauty of contrasts, and the complexity of relationships, offering a visual exploration of form, connection, and coexistence. I am in a constant search for rhythm and abstract construction, using color and shapes that will evoke feelings and present the dual meanings that characterize me. Some of the shapes are created randomly by meeting the spaces between the lines; others are subject to an orderly rule. Disorder with "very neat" geometric figures that repeat themselves like folded corners, a repeating wave, X's as life’s junctions that form a pair of wings that I wish to set free and yet, the meanings are left to the viewer's free will.

I deliberately use bold shapes and intersecting lines to evoke complexity- mirroring the layered experiences of womanhood, creativity and resilience. In a field historically dominated by male voices, I am interested in asserting a Feminine Geometry- a visual language that speaks with confidence, but also with care and introspection. Viewers are encouraged to find themselves in the interstices, in the tensions, in the quiet spaces where color and form coexist”.

ABOUT Clari Netzer

Israeli Contemporary artist born in México. After graduated in B.A in Communication Sciences she immigrated to Israel in 1983. She is a self-taught artist, discovered her passion for painting and art early. Her work quest for rhythm, abstraction and combine random shapes emerging from the interplay of order and chaos.

Clari Netzer captures the dynamic relationship between figures, objects, or elements, united in harmony yet distinct in their individuality. The artist uses bold, expressive brushstrokes and a rich color palette to create a sense of movement and energy, evoking feelings of balance, unity, and contrast.

Her paintings have been published and showcased internationally and can be found in private and public collections.

Along to being a Professional Artist, Clari Netzer has initiated and coordinated artistic projects including lectures and workshops, revealing the cultural richness of Mexican art and promoting the role of women in the art. Her artistic activities aimed to the understanding of the double identity and the basic need of the immigrant to express and give expression to his/her feelings, to search for meaning, want to be part of a group and to share experiences with others.

Today, she is engaged in coaching, as an Art Life Coach conducting workshops for personal growth through art and creativity, with her artistic activities aimed at understanding the importance of art in our lives as a tool for inspiration, stress relief, and achieving goals.

Currently, she resides and works in Carmiel.
